Myrtle Beach Lightning Girls Lacrosse is a girls’ travel lacrosse team for middle school and high school players looking to improve their individual and team play through practice and game experiences in competitive tournaments. The Team practices 2-3 times weekly and typically enters 3-5 tournaments a season throughout the Southeast region. Unlike most clubs, we do not hold tryouts, but instead, have player evaluation clinics to determine skill level and potential positioning. We encourage all girls to play the sport and try our program to help improve their skills. However, our roster consists of players that have already developed the basic skills of the game and are moving into intermediate to advanced levels of play. Playing time and positioning are determined by the coach’s assessment of the player’s ability and commitment to the program. This includes the players’ participation in practice on a regular basis as well as player execution of team concepts during games. Players are not guaranteed equal playing time during competitive Tournament games. Playing time is dictated by the player’s ability to perform in games. Team practices not only develop the individual skills of the player but teach organized lacrosse concepts to play at a competitive level. The overall goal of our program is to help players develop their abilities to play the game properly and prepare them for high school varsity and college lacrosse. Myrtle Beach Lightning Boys Lacrosse is a training program designed to help develop players through individual and small group training sessions. The training focuses on various skills needed to excel at the sport of lacrosse. The program is designed to coincide with any club team participation as added training. Most lacrosse club programs have limited amounts of practice and oftentimes do not provide enough repetition in drills to help develop a player at a fast rate. Our sessions provide extra training opportunities that provide maximum repetition to our players. Shooting, dodging, stick skills, footwork, and proper techniques are the focus of our training drills. If you are a new player or experienced player looking for extra training we can provide a program for you.

LIGHTNING LADIES LACROSSE

The Lightning Ladies Lacrosse program was created to provide our graduating seniors and college players training through organized practice sessions. The program provides a way for our older players to continue training through structured drills with other players. This gives our college players an opportunity to train in the offseason and continue to develop their skill set. All women over the age of 18 who are ineligible for youth lacrosse tournament play are welcome to join. The program will offer an opportunity for players to compete in adult divisions at select Tournaments. If you are a college player and/or former high school or college lacrosse player Lightning Ladies Lacrosse may be the perfect way for you to keep your skills sharp and improve for continued play.

Welcome to our Team Website!

Our travel lacrosse program consists of private club teams that compete in Lacrosse Tournaments throughout the Southeast Region in both the Fall and Summer Lacrosse Seasons. Teams hold practice during the season 2-3 times per week and will enter 3-5 Tournaments per season. Our goal is to improve the overall team play of Lacrosse throughout our local area by developing both individual skills and teaching the team concepts of the game. Competitive play in Tournaments motivates our players to practice and play hard, which helps develop the individual player at a faster pace. No matter what experience level you may have as a player we believe improvement can be achieved through hard work in practice with our coaches’ guidance. We expect all of our players to commit to our program and regularly attend practice. There is also an expectation that players commit to traveling for our selected Tournaments. Since we are a competitive club, playing time and positioning are determined by the coaches after evaluating a player’s performance and overall commitment to the program. If you are looking to improve your skills and prepare for the next level of Lacrosse, please consider our program.

Testimonials

I joined Myrtle Beach Lightning in 2022, the summer after my freshman year. I'd played lacrosse recreationally since I was seven years old, but not on a competitive level. I've always loved the sport, but after an extended break due to COVID, I struggled to find my place and confidence on the field. Joining this team not only drastically improved my skills but also reignited my passion for all aspects of the game. Since joining, I have become a starter, stat leader, and all-region player for my high school. My lacrosse IQ has significantly increased, and I have found more confidence in my abilities on and off the field. Being a part of this team means more than just playing together on the field; it has given me lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. I cannot thank my coaches enough for being a great support system and my biggest cheerleaders. After each practice, I feel more and more prepared to play at the next level. I am forever grateful for everything this program has given me. If you're looking for a fun, effective, and competitive travel team, Myrtle Beach Lightning is the way to go!
