Coach Brian
Coach Brian brings a proven track record of developing highschool players into college ready players.
As the head coach of the girls team, club director, and assistant boys coach (Defensive positioning) he began the program five years ago with a mission to improve the game in the Myrtle Beach area. Since starting the program Myrtle Beach Lightning has won numerous tournament championships and more importantly, developed some of the best players in the State of South Carolina. Starting with only a handful of girls, the program is now a ranked club lacrosse program and has outlasted many national franchise clubs entering the area.
With over 20 years of playing and coaching experience, Coach Brian has helped develop some of the top players in the Southeast over the past five years. This includes over 20 all-region and all-state players and over a dozen college commits. Stressing fundamentals and training is key to the program and its players’ success. The program focuses on developing skills through advanced drills and repetition.
We are excited to continue the tradition of producing great players and teammates through our strong team culture. Seeing the girls grow and compete at the next level is very fulfilling and the bonds the girls have last a lifetime. Myrtle Beach Lightning is now going on four years of college players who return each summer to help the team through coaching and training.
The Summer 2026 Season will feature three two-hour practice sessions per week (two weeknight sessions and Saturdays) throughout the season. This equates to more than 20 practice sessions this season. Practice is the key to improvement, and our sessions will include fast-paced drills focused on fundamental skills. Our coaching staff will work on individual positions and team concepts at each practice.
In addition to our intensive practice schedule, we plan to attend three competitive tournaments in the Southeast region, including Wilmington N.C., Charlotte N.C., and Apopka, Florida. Our commitment is to the development of each player and overall team concepts. Unlike other club programs, we will not allow free-agent players to compete in tournaments with our team unless we have a roster shortage. The players who practice with the team will play with the team.
Our High School Team typically enters the open division in Tournaments, which allows players to compete from rising 8th grade to rising 12th grade.
